this 1976 film is hugely inspirational for us. we love it. the music, the clothes, the love affair, the movie’s tone and feel. it all resonates with us – the spirit and philosophy that we seek to embrace.

the film charts the torrid relationship between an up-and-coming songwriter and a fading rock star – barbara streisand and kris kristofferson.

the scene when they escape for a few days to the desert hideaway – wrap themselves in ponchos – and try to shut out the world is a pure haute hoodie moment!

to make ourselves at home we built a tent – straight “out of africa”. we decorated it with our favorite pieces of art and a few cow hides – of course, then brought in our favorite knits and layering pieces for our friends to enjoy.

we have built a little home for ourselves in nolita at 211 elizabeth street between prince and spring. come visit !!
